“Mak cik ada seorang anak perempuan. Namun, tidak pernah datang untuk melawat walaupun dia tahu saya berada di sini sejak dua tahun lalu. Walaupun begitu, mak cik berasa seronok tinggal di sini kerana ada ramai kawan dan kesihatan pun semakin baik berbanding sebelum ini,” kata Esah (bukan nama sebenar) yang menjadi penghuni Rumah Seri Kenangan (RSK) Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, memulakan bicara.

Berusia 65 tahun, dia menghabiskan sisa hidupnya di RSK dengan menghayati kenangan manis bersama penghuni lain yang turut mempunyai kisah tersembunyi di benak fikiran mereka mengenai keluarga masing-masing.
