Learning styles is one of the important factors determining students ' academic performance in the examination. While motivation is seen to have a strong influence on the students ' learning. Therefore, this study aimed to look at learning styles and motivation the achievement of students on the subject of national language a. respondents consisting of students of Kolej Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Setapak, Kuala Lumpur. Respondents who are involved is a two semester and diploma students are required to take the subject of A national language based on the grade earned in the subject English Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination. A study based on the inventory of learning styles Model Selmes 1987. The data will be analyzed using SPSS package Version 22 to see the relationship between learning styles and motivation of students with student achievement in the subject involved.
