Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia (2010) memfokuskan tiga komponen utama dalam pelaksanaan pengajaran dan pembelajaran bercirikan abad ke 21 iaitu pengetahuan kandungan, pengetahuan pedagogi dan pengetahuan teknologi. Integrasi ketiga-tiga pengetahuan tersebut merupakan asas kepada pembentukan pelaksanaan pengajaran dan pembelajaran abad ke 21 yang dicadangkan kepada guru di kelas prasekolah, sekolah renmdah dan sekolah menengah di Malaysia.

The Ministry of education (2010) focuses on three main components in the implementation of teaching and learning in spite of 21st century content knowledge, pedagogical knowledge and knowledge of technology. The integration of the three knowledge is fundamental to the creation of teaching and learning 21st century proposed to teachers in preschool classes, school renmdah and secondary schools in Malaysia.
